Join us for a high-energy reading group on the governance and regulation of AI Systems.

We’ll be reading the AI Governance Curriculum published by AGI Safety Fundamentals. This is a read-and-discuss event: the content is a series of short readings (and occasional videos). We read and discuss each item at the event. You may pre-read if you'd like, but it's not required or expected.

Please bring a device to read on, or print outs of the readings, with you.

Location:
Citizen Charles Room
Ground Floor, CSI Annex
720 Bathurst. Toronto, ON M5S 2R4

We'll be continuing with the Blue.Impact AI Governance curriculum that we were reading from last year, but don't hesitate to join if you weren't able to make it to a session last year -- w'll tailor our approach based on who shows up.

The curriculum is:

  • Beginner-friendly: Does not assume significant prior knowledge
  • Foundational: Aims to give a broad, high-quality overview of the basics
  • Busy-schedule-compatible: Prioritizes relatively short readings

In addition, everyone who attends will be offered the chance to take on a role in the group, as a presenter, a summarizer, a diagrammer, a discussion generator, a connector, a silent participant or similar.
