Are you passionate about Canadian politics in general and would love an opportunity to put forth ideals which you believe would redress, for example, worsening poverty / disparity, human rights violations, threats to basic civil and constitutional rights, environmental destruction, and threats to our Canadian sovereignty as it pertains to Donald Trump? You're invited to join our efforts to champion a political party experiment in Canadian democracy & idealism.
The concept of our Meetup group is to debate and discuss in-person at café get togethers or online a "shopping list" of ideals and policies that we believe would achieve the development of a "Canada of our dreams" based upon the basic principles of a "just society for all" and "Humanity First".
The goal of our Meetup group is to bring forth our collective views in the re-creation of the "CCF" which under Tommy Douglas in the 1930's became the role model of ideals from universal public healthcare to human rights pivotal to the Canadian identity, and, once organized, to inspire a chain reaction of political debate and society which will rejuvenate a climate of progressive social change.
