Make Your Web Maps Count w/ Maptiks Analysis @ Toronto GoGeomatics March Social!

Speaker Series: Join Brian Bancroft of Sparkgeo for our March social where he will discuss how to make your web maps count with Maptiks Analysis! This month’s social is taking place Monday, March 25th (7:00PM) at Betty's On King (Upstairs!). Some munchies will be provided on behalf of Sparkgeo!

Last spring, Brian demonstrated how to host your website for pennies on the dollar using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and how to use Google Analytics to track how your site is doing...

Last month, Daniel Loughran showed you how to get started building web maps and how to use them as a tool to sell your message to an audience...

But in order to know how your site is doing, you have to quantify! Do people engage with the map? Do they pore out the details, or treat it as a picture? In this lecture, Brian will show you how to leverage Maptiks to track your maps so you know can be confident in the sites and applications that you produce.

While this lecture will be a demonstration, you can bring your laptop to follow along and track your own web map! Code and samples will be provided, and Brian will stick around to answer all of your questions on web, web maps, and web map tracking.

Speaker: Brian Bancroft is a geospatial developer with Sparkgeo. Brian graduated in 2014 with double majors in Physics and Geomatics from the University of Ottawa, and has since worked across Canada in the geospatial and startup sectors as a geospatial consultant and as a software developer.
