Pranayam is the name for simple breathing techniques that originated in India thousands of years ago. They have been practiced by millions through the ages to this very day. They have known health benefits which include improving memory, focus and energy levels and alleviating conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, anxiety and depression.
Pranayam clears the energy channel blockages within our bodies, allowing the energy to flow freely through our system, thus restoring health. People have also reported feeling younger and happier.
Pranayam has a powerful spiritual component as well. Practicing pranayam regularly reconnects one with his/ her inner self and brings one closer to the Divine spirit. This brings one closer to the Sat-Chit-Anand (Truth-Consciousness-Bliss) state.
