Volunteer Interest: Supporting Seniors in the Community

Hi everyone,

Supporting seniors can mean a lot in simple but meaningful ways. Sometimes they may not have many people alongside them, so it can be a wonderful way to light up their day.

At this stage, this is simply an interest form for those who may feel called to volunteer in senior homes and community locations across Toronto.

Please note:

• This is not an in-person volunteer opportunity just yet
• This is a first step to gather interest
• More details about the roles are shared in the form below
• Once interest is collected, the next step will be an orientation
• After that, volunteers may be connected to a location close to where they live

Some of the ways volunteers may be able to help include:

• Friendly visiting
• Activities and recreation support
• Walks and outdoor support
• Mealtime support
• Music, storytelling, special skills, and more
