🌱 Garden Volunteering at Garden@Kimbourne

An opportunity to come together as a group and support Garden@Kimbourne, a volunteer-driven permaculture project growing food and community in Toronto's east end.

Half of what's harvested goes to local food banks, the rest is shared among those who grow it.

New and experienced gardeners welcome. Typical tasks include:
✦ Watering, weeding, harvesting
✦ Pruning, sowing, transplanting
✦ Removing invasive species
✦ Mixing soil and compost
✦ Sign painting and light carpentry for raised beds

We'll also pick up some permaculture basics along the way, no-till gardening, chop and drop, sheet mulching, and companion planting.

Ready to join? All the sign-up steps are on the event page:

We're looking for 6 to 10 people for this first event. If you sign up, please do so with the intention of attending.

✦ Closed-toe shoes recommended, though it depends on the task
✦ Bring your own sunscreen and water
