Ride to Musselman Lake, Lunch and Ice Cream!

Tim Horton's

Join us for a lovely shortish ride on country roads, to lunch, ice cream, and a ride around a pretty small lake. (Trying this again with more lead time! Had to cancel the first posted version, for July 6, due to almost nobody signing up and possible rain.) Come for a yummy lunch at Hanson's Restaurant (http://www.hansonsrestaurant.com/), first, followed by a short ride to scenic Musselman Lake. We can stop there for an ice cream at The Coolest Little Ice Cream Shop (NW corner of Ninth Line and Cedarvale Blvd., just N of the lake). Sorry, this will not be a 50cc-friendly ride - some of the speed limits go as high as 80kph, though mostly at most 70kph. By RSVP'ing yes to this ride you have acknowledged that you have read, understood and agreed with our Group Riding Guidelines (http://www.meetup.com/toronto-moto-scooter-club/pages/TMSC_Group_Rides/). You will also be required to sign a waiver (http://files.meetup.com/237291/TMSC%20Waiver%20April%202013.pdf)prior to the ride.

DQ Tuesday

Dairy Queen

This is a weekly event for anyone that wants to just show up for a bit of scooter chat. As we did in prior years we'll move this to the Mondays on Holiday weekends.

Ride to Historic Kleinburg

Tim Hortons in the Shops on Steeles and 404

Let's ride through a bit of the north part of the city and then some lovely country out to beautiful historic Kleinburg (http://www.kleinburgvillage.com/). We can do some sightseeing, have lunch and perhaps gelato in Kleinburg. We may also go to the McMichael art gallery (http://www.mcmichael.com/) afterwards, where there's a special exhibit of Nova Scotia folk artist Maud Lewis. Those who don't wish to do that can easily ride home on their own - it's a direct trip, straight down Islington then across anything you want to take. This will be a 50cc-friendly ride, though there are a couple of stretches where the speed limit is 80kph. We will be having our pre-ride chat at 10:40 AM and departing at 10:45 AM sharp. Please arrive with an empty bladder and a full gas tank. We have a reservation for lunch at noon at a lovely air conditioned pub we like to go to there, Lomgchamp Pub (http://www.longchamppub.com). By RSVP'ing Yes to this ride, you have acknowledged that you have read, understood and agreed with our Ride Waiver and Group Riding Rules. (http://www.meetup.com/toronto-moto-scooter-club/pages/TMSC_Group_Rides/) and you will be required to sign a waiver.
