Rouge Valley (Mathew's Birthday Hike) and Picnic (9KM).

Rouge National Urban Park is Canada's only Urban Park and is one of our most popular hikes that we do as it's really the only hiking trail in Toronto that you can get to by TTC. Once you are on the trail you will not believe that you are still in the City. Not only will we be walking up and hills but I will take you to one of the best lookout points in the Valley. You don't want to miss an afternoon of hiking. Just note that this might be a little to much for beginners but if you are up for the challenge you will be very proud of yourself.

Meetup Details

PLEASE NOTE: If TTC doesn't have trains running on line 1 will be taking a different route.

Meetup Location: I will be standing right on the platform for the 85B bus. I will be wearing my Moose Hat.

BUS: From Don Mills Subway Station we will all take the Sheppard Bus (85 A or D Bus) one stop before the Zoo and walk a few mintes into the park . The whole time will take any hour to get their.

Meetup Time: 10:00am I will only wait till the bus comes...Early is On Time, On Time is late.

Bus Leaves: 10:13am....We will leave you and you will not be able to join up with us.

By Car: Because this is an urban hike my focus those that want are taking the TTC and walking. You are more then welcome to drive and meet us their. Members can set up carpool but that will be up to those that are driving.

Car Meetup Spot and Time: I will meet you at the Parks Welcome Centre (it lookes tents) which is close to the parking. There is a cost to park but I don't know what the cost is and I will be wearinf my Moose Hat. We will meet you at 11:00am. We might be a few mins late.

How long is the hike: 2hrs30mins with a short break.

Picnic: After we will have a 30min to 40mins picnic. Bring something small to shart with the group.

Meetup Fee: $5 cash in person or E-transfer - This fee helps to support the group! Some Organizers choose to absorb all costs and others choose not to. You can send the E-transfer to mathewmaclean@hotmail.com

Lunch: Don't forget to bring something to share with the group. Nothing to big so you can carrier it.

REMEMBER YOU CAN JUST SHOW UP OR JUST SHOW UP ON THE DAY OF IF YOU ARE NOT SURE YOU CAN MAKE IT.
