Details
Nature Lovers, please join us as we explore the enchanting west side of Lake Ontario, starting from the picturesque region near Hamilton. (It's prettier than you think) Our birding adventure promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience that you won't find anywhere else.
Our first destination, Van Wagners Beach, is a haven for avian enthusiasts. While Ontario typically hosts a stunning array of bird species, the western basin offers a unique opportunity to encounter some rare avian visitors. Among the elusive feathered wonders that occasionally grace us with their presence are the Pomarine Jaeger, Long-tailed Jaeger, Parasitic Jaeger, and the elegant Sabine's Gull. Witnessing these extraordinary birds in their natural habitat is a rare treat that will surely leave you in awe. Additionally, the shoreline of Van Wagners Beach boasts several species of shorebirds, adding to the diversity of our birdwatching experience.
Our journey doesn't stop there. We'll make captivating stops along the way, including a visit beneath the iconic Burlington Skyway. Here, we'll scan the skies and waters for the regal Peregrine Falcons and the graceful migration of waterfowl. It's a chance to witness the dynamic interactions between these birds and their environment, offering incredible photo opportunities for nature photography enthusiasts.
Lasalle Marina in Burlington is another pivotal destination on our route. We'll stay attuned to recent bird reports, adjusting our itinerary to seize any opportunity to witness rare bird sightings. Flexibility is key in the world of birdwatching, and we're dedicated to ensuring you witness as many avian wonders as possible.
Throughout our expedition, we'll keep a vigilant eye on the skies as the raptors begin their mesmerizing migration. The sight of birds of prey soaring through the air is a spectacle like no other, and we'll be there to capture the magic of this incredible natural phenomenon.
Join us on this unforgettable journey into the heart of Ontario's avian wonders. Whether you're a seasoned birdwatcher, a passionate wildlife enthusiast, or a budding nature photographer, our tour promises an immersive and enriching experience that will leave you with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation for the beauty of our feathered friends.
