Taking Events to the Next Level with Tech: How to Think like an Event Manager

Details

Do you plan conferences, fundraising events, workshops, or other program events at your nonprofit? Do you also have 1,000 other things on your plate? If so, this Toronto Net Tuesday is for you! We’re going to look at how technology can improve your event and reduce your stress.

Fanny Martin (Art of Festivals (http://artoffestivals.com/)), an experienced event planner, and Ben Raffi, the CEO of Uniiverse, will share their insider tips on using technology for events.

At this session, you will learn:
• The areas (e.g. ticketing, promotion, scheduling, communications) where technology can play a role in your event
• Free and low cost tools that will help you in each of these areas
• How to decide which tool is right for your event

Who should attend?
• Staff & volunteers at nonprofits, charities and social enterprises who organize events as part of their role. This event is especially created for people who are involved with events but aren’t professional event managers/specialists. You might be a fundraiser, admin staff, program staff, or anyone who works on events!

Live streaming
This event will be live streamed, so you can attend no matter where you are! Joining is easy as there is no need to RSVP; just go to http://www.livestream.com/techsoupcanada around 5:30pm Eastern Time.
