In honour of summer, we're having a special creative relating salon. Because the topic is more advanced this time, there will be restrictions on who can attend. (Please see below for details.)

The theme this time is "Eros". We'll have a shorter than usual discussion section, during which we're going to have time to dive into questions like "what do I fear about sexuality?" and "what do I find erotic?" And we'll wrestle with challenges we face in this area, as well as celebrating what is delightful.

Following the discussion there will be an extended, guided sexy/sensual/erotic connection exercise, which will provide an opportunity to learn and practice skills that are helpful for open sensuality. (And hopefully will be a lot of fun and full of pleasure.) Please be aware that there will be the invitation for sensual touch between people of all genders and sexual orientations; if you're not comfortable with sensually touching or being touched by people of a particular gender, this is not an event for you. (Most of the members of our community are flexible in sensual realms.) You of course always have a choice of how to participate and never need to do anything outside of your limits.

This time the exercise will include opportunities for exploring sensual and erotic touch with a number of people (of all genders) in a guided and hopefully safe way. There's a decent chance that this will touch in some places on your limits and edges, but we'll be providing guidance and facilitation support to allow you to explore safely and never exceed your boundaries.

If you're not comfortable with this idea, please come back to the salon in September when we will resume our regular programming.

After the salon there will be a casual, mostly unfacilitated gathering during which there will be some snacks and an opportunity to continue to explore sensual or erotic touch, should participants desire. (But there's no guarantee that you'll find people to connect with.)

DRESS CODE: For this special salon, the dress code is sexy! Wear something that brings out the eros for you ... sexy underwear, lingerie, leather, opera gloves, muscle shirt, rope, lumberjack shirt, whatever turns your crank. And PLEASE BRING A BLINDFOLD of some kind. (Could be a scarf). You may also wish to bring a towel or waterproof blanket if you tend to generate lots of fluids during sexual expression.

Location: Private house in Christie Pits, near Christie and Ossington subway stations, close to Bloor. Address will be provided to registered guests ahead of the event.
Depending on several factors (weather, numbers of participants, etc.) we may be in a different space than usual that would accommodate a few more people than we normally have. (Normally our cap is 12 participants.)

Duration: the salon itself is planned for around 2 or 2 1/2 hours (I haven't done the script yet, but it should be a bit shorter than usual), and you can linger after for a few hours if you like. There won't be a hard cutoff.

RESTRICTIONS ON ATTENDANCE:

To attend this event, you must have previously attended a creative salon, or be able to demonstrate to me that you have comparable experience in working with consent and boundaries on touch, e.g. experience in Tantra workshops, etc. (This will likely involve a check in or conversation with me. If you're not sure drop me a note). I particularly encourage non-cis-male members of the group to reach out (i.e. cis-female, trans, or nonbinary).

Cis-male people who haven't attended a salon, there most likely will not be space for you. If you have and we haven't already spoken, it may be because I don't assess that you're a fit for this particular event. Feel free to reach out if you'd like more information or to try to change my mind. I offer these salons partly to teach the skills to attend these types of events; frankly many people are not ready and it's very important to me to maintain a safe and comfortable space for all participants.

If you have any transmissible health condition (including any respiratory infection or any outbreak of rashes or sores) please do no attend this intimate workshop. I'm not requiring STI checks for participants because there will be hygienic controls in place for the exercise, but you may wish to be tested for STIs if you wish to play informally afterwards, as I strongly encourage sexual safety conversations before engaging in activities that involve exchange of bodily fluids.

Cost: There's no cost, but a donation jar will be available in case you found the workshop helpful and you'd like to offer a contribution towards the cost of hosting it. Suggested donation is $10 to cover food and supplies.
