We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Halloween themed Sheer Gothic - Dramatic Light Art and Form- Art Nude Workshop with the talented model Ciara Antoski. Join us for this exciting opportunity to explore studio lighting setups and create dramatic sheer gothic style looks to enhance your photography portfolio.
Workshop Details: Are you passionate about creatively lit studio photography? Do you aspire to learn the secrets of beautiful and creative lighting techniques? We are dedicated to lighting and sharing our photographic knowledge with you. Our small, intimate workshop with professional instructors is designed to cater to your interests. Throughout the workshop, we will discuss the specific lighting setups for each scenario, explaining the choice of modifiers and angles to effectively illuminate the subject and accessories.

Framing and types of shots: During the workshop, we will focus on various framing techniques, including:

• 2/3rd body length shooting with dark dramatic and gothic feel
• floor shot with sheers fabric
• a set lit by candle lite for a dark but spooky feel

Instructor: Phil Sutherland
Model: The exceptionally talented Ciara Antoski Her remarkable skills will contribute to creating stunning images during the workshop.
To ensure a high-quality experience for participants, we are limiting the workshop to a maximum of six participants.
As an indigenous-run, not-for-profit arts group, we are dedicated to serving the artistic community and advocating for the photographic arts. At our core, we believe in sharing knowledge and the joy of photography with the community. We strive to make art accessible to everyone and work hard to bring arts programming to the community.

Workshop Details:

• Maximum Participants: 6
• Workshop Fee: CAD$97 plus hst and vendor fee

Items to Bring:

• Camera/Lenses of choice (DSLR, medium format, or mirrorless)
• Fully charged battery
• Freshly formatted memory card(s)
• General lenses
• Pen and paper (if you wish to take notes)

So that you know, tripods or camera supports are not required for this workshop.
Triggers: We provide wireless triggers for most mainstream camera types. Please feel free to email us to confirm compatibility with your camera.
Model Release: A West Toronto Photography Group model release form, will be provided to each participant for non-commercial use and training purposes. The model will sign these forms, and printed copies will be provided to each photographer.
Cancellation Policy: Refunds will be issued within 72 hours if we, as organizers, have to postpone or cancel the event. We understand that sometimes circumstances prevent attendance at a workshop. If you cannot attend, please get in touch with us as soon as possible, and we will help you resell your workshop spot to the group. We will reimburse you for the ticket price if we can resell the ticket. However, if we cannot resell the spot, you may transfer it to someone else to attend in your place, but unfortunately, no refund will be provided.
