What's coming in PostgreSQL 15

Details
The Chicago PUG has invited us to join them in their meetup. : Robert Haas, EDB Chief Database Scientist, will be our guest speaker on February 15! This alone is really exciting news, but what's even more exciting, we will be the first group to hear about the most recent developments for PostgreSQL 15. Think about that: just a month ago we talked about "what's new in Postgres 14," and now we can take a look at what's coming next!
Here are the talk details:
Title:
Improving pg_basebackup In Version 15 and Beyond
Description:
In this presentation, I’ll discuss my ongoing work to improve pg_basebackup for PostgreSQL 15, and the work of some of my colleagues at EDB to do the same. If all goes well, PostgreSQL 15 will feature server-side compression and base backup targets. We’ll talk about what’s already committed, what might still get committed before the upcoming feature freeze deadline, and some future possibilities.
Please mark your calendars and dial in on February 15 to join the conversation!
