Jessie Lamontagne
Data Science Manager, Kinaxis
Presentation Title: "We need a technical guy" – navigating bias in the workplace

Jessie is a data science manager at Kinaxis, where she leads the delivery of a demand forecasting product. Before joining Kinaxis she built machine learning solutions for credit risk modelling, and developed deep learning algorithms for synthetic data generation. She completed graduate work in economics during which time she taught statistics, microeconomics, and applied policy

Vinothini Sangaralingam
Data Science Manager, Scotiabank
Presentation Title: Influencer AI: Know Thy Followers

Vinothini has been involved with various types of datasets for more than a decade. She initially worked in the field of Astronomy, working with image and signal processing projects. Later on she worked with text based projects at a start-up. She then had the opportunity to be part of the Insight community, during this Fellowship at Insight, Vinothini worked on the project we will be seeing today. After Insight she joined the Tangerine analytics team working with optimization problems and referrals. She is currently working in Scotiabank, with the wealth management team.
