Language & Lattes: Exchange + Fall Watercolouring at Creeds Coffee Bar
Join us for a unique, multi-faceted afternoon blending cultural exchange with artistic creativity at the cozy Creeds Coffee Bar in Toronto. Whether you're looking to practice a new language or tap into your inner artist, this event offers a warm, welcoming space for connection.
Part 1: The Language Exchange ($5 to attend)
Time: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Cost: $5 to attend; plus at least one purchase
Gather with local language learners and native speakers to practice any language you're studying! We typically have fluent speakers for popular languages like Spanish, French, Korean, German and Japanese. All languages are welcome.
This is a relaxed, friendly, and low-pressure environment to meet new friends, share cultural insights, and boost your language skills. All while enjoying both (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) drinks and snacks at Creeds.
Part 2: Fall Watercolour Workshop with Ons (Optional Add-on for $20)
Want to add a splash of colour to your afternoon? You can reserve a spot in our special themed watercolour session!
Local designer Ons will lead a soothing, step-by-step workshop focused on capturing the stunning colours of Fall. Learn basic techniques for blending, washes, and creating texture to immortalize the beautiful autumn leaves and landscapes.
Cost: $20 CAD per person (paid in advance by e-transfer to terry.gammon@gmail.com)
Includes: Professional-grade watercolour paints, quality paper, brushes, and all materials needed. You'll walk away with your own masterpiece!
Note: This workshop runs concurrently with the language exchange, so feel free to practice first and then paint, or vice-versa!
