Let's have a ride up the Humber Valley Trail out past the Humber Arboretum to the end of the trail.

The ride will be on Saturday the 22nd, starting at 10:30 AM at Coronation Park at the base of Strachan, near the Prince's Gate. Parking is available at Fort York.

From there we'll ride west along the Lakeshore to the Humber Bridge, and then north on the Humber Trail.

We'll take the trail north past Lawrence and the 401, and then take the trail west to the Humber Arboretum (http://www.humberarboretum.on.ca/about). We'll have some lunch by the river (please bring your own, there's not really anywhere to buy some up there), and then ride back. A map of the route is at the link at the end of this message.

The ride will almost entirely be on bike trails, we'll have to ride on a few short sections of road, most notably at Lawrence where the trail gets cut off by a golf course.

The ride will be suitable for all types of bikes, I'm looking at a pace in the 15 - 20 km/hr range, depending on what most people are comfortable with.

The entire ride will be about 55 - 60 km. There will be ample places for people to turn around and head back, or take a TCC bus to the nearest subway station.

My cell number (for calls the day of) is 416-824-7019, if you are running late or anything, please send me a text.

Hope to see you there!
