Anything But D&D Night: Spirosblaak

We lost the war. And now The Mistress of Shadow and The Dragon are taking over the Archduchy of Spirosblaak.

You will play as members of the freedom fighter troop, the Allieviators. Decades ago they were mercenaries that soon became known for taking in half-blooded peoples where other orgs would not. They have changed with the times and have become part of the resistance despite many regular people hating on them or mistrusting them for their mixed heritages. The gods have fallen, Mana has been forever corrupted by Necromancy. And so divine and arcane casters are horrible people. The resistance are all about spirits and bargains with those types of entities; the restistance casters are Shamans and Witches.

Spirosblaak is a dark setting from Green Ronin's d20 3.5 era. There are werewolves, vampires, ghosts, undead, pirates and black powder. Yes, muskets are a thing. In this iteration, I'm using a ruleset based on a system called 5 Torches Deep. It is a stripped down 5e ruleset that is used to emulate OSR games. I've altered the system to a d10 system with rules that play heavily on character interaction. The system still has dangerous combat, but is still fluid and familiar enough since I've kept some 5e and OSR conventions. This is a 'Noble Dark' game whereby bad things happen to good people, the bad guys won afterall, but players are expected to rise above the darkness and resist with all their might down to their dying breaths. The main theme is not necessarily 'fight as heroes' but rather 'fight for Hope.'

Pregens will be provided and no experience necessary! Rules are taught and easily adopted. Do note that my style is roleplay/interaction heavy. And certain rules will encourage such things. Just bring at least 3d10's (non-percentile), pencils, a pad of paper, creativity and teamwork and we'll have a great time!

*Pls note this is not 3.5e, 5e nor OSR ruleset, but a modded d10 version of 5 Torches Deep.
