Elixir TO October 2025

Hello Toronto Elixir,
We are back and we hope you had a great summer!

We are gearing up for our fall event with a brand new location from our friends at 1rg.space!

The appointment is for Wednesday October 8th, doors open at 6:30 pm.

Talks will start around 7pm.

First, we're excited to welcome Ben Schultzer
(https://github.com/Schultzer) who joins us on stage for the first time with his talk "SQL - An exploration of foreign language integration in Elixir". In this talk we’ll look at how Elixir makes it approachable for anyone to build their own compiler and integrate a foreign language with ease with a closer look at conformance test, benchmarks and a bug in Elixir.

Shortly after, Alex Blom (https://isleofcode.com/) will be back on stage with a talk on How to use Elixir to build an AI first platform. Expect to learn about streaming responses, integrating MCP servers and more!
