Good Food, Drinks and More! is all about the FOODIE in you and next Sunday we are going on a vegan adventure through Kensington Market en route to the AGO, the same path many striving vegan artists take in the art world... :)
Our selection is The Vegan Extremist. This restaurant made it into The Best Toronto Magazine in Fall 2023 because of their vegan inspired renditions of classic South Asian foods - panang, nyonya, chole, bharta, biryani, and even basmati rice. Here is the entire article: A GUIDE TO THE 6 BEST VEGAN RESTAURANTS IN TORONTO https://www.thebesttoronto.com/best-vegan-restaurants-toronto/
If you are looking for an adventure in vegetarian or vegan food, a trip to India is one of the most fragrant, flavorful and colorful route. The Vegan Extremist appears to be entirely a devotee to the artistry of food, calling each dish a "composition" lends itself to the musicality and thought put into every meal. So we are keeping our fingers crossed that you are going to miss nothing at all but have no fear, there will be TWO FOODIE STOPS on this Sunday adventure. If you are a brat, be sure to pick up a Snickers bar and some kleenex to keep close by... stuffed in your jacket... :)
Our themes on this particular city walk will therefore will be some of the themes that come up in the arts world - animals rights, healing arts, clairvoyancy, cannabis, environmental rights and climate change. It's going to be a good time I promise... :)
We will be at the AGO for two hours.
The second FOODIE stop on our city adventure is Buddha Vegan Restaurant. Today's contemporaries now approach the subject of veganism with a sense of humor, which you can find at places like The Hogtown Vegan (on the list), but a trip to Buddha is going to be an eye opening experience. Try something with us or order takeout.
The adventure ends where it begins, at Starbucks, just south of Queens Park Subway Station.
