Last week the Heritage Foundation held an afternoon panel discussion on Benghazi and announced the forming of the "Benghazi Accountability Coalition."

There are many good people involved in this group and their mission is to hold the "Select Committee on Benghazi" accountable.

Brigitte Gabriel, Clare Lopez and Frank Gaffney are just a few of the many experts who know what happened at Benghazi and want the truth about it exposed.

At our next meeting, on Tuesday July 8, ( NOT Monday, July 7, as originally planned) we will be discussing American Laws for American Courts ( ALAC) in detail. We will be having a simulcast meeting with the San Antonio Chapter of ACT! for America.

They are hosting Chris Byrd, a partner in the Texas law firm Davis, Byrd & Yost, who will provide an overview of Sharia rulings by judges in US Courts. We are familiar with Sharia rulings in Britain, France and other European countries but it has and still continues to occur in the US court system.

Deferring to foreign and international laws such as those found in Islamic countries to make judicial decisions that are to the detriment of US citizens or those non-citizens who appear in US courts is at the heart of Chris's brief.

Chris testified at the May 2013 hearings in support of the American Laws for American Courts (ALAC) legislation in Texas and again is leading the charge in Texas along with ACT! for America chapters & Chris Holton from ACT! for America nationally. A former magistrate and current trial lawyer Chris shares his message based upon case law and common sense why Sharia law is such a threat to the US.

This meeting will be filled with the necessary information all of us will need when speaking intelligently about ALAC with our friends, neighbors and the politicians that we need to push on Ohio Hose Bill 513.
