Ask Me Anything : Cyber Security Professionals

Welcome to our first AMA ("Ask Me Anything") Event !

As an Open Community, we want to allow people to share their experiences, and foster communication.

For our first event, we will look at Cyber Security. This topic includes not only Internet security, but also internal network security, protection of data (at rest and in-transit), and related topics.

To that end, we are inviting a panel of professionals with years under their belts in the industry, who will be able to answer your questions at our event.

There will be pizzas, beers, and soft drinks provided by our sponsor, Continuum Industries

The event is free to attend and open to all.

Programme:

18:20 - Opening announcements and housekeeping
18:30 - AMA session
19:30 - Socialising and connecting
20:00 - Off to the pub - most likely the Blue Blazer around the corner 😉

The Panel:

Jamie - Head of Security at Rasa and has previously worked as a security engineering lead at Fortinet and ZoneFox. He works on bringing usable security to businesses and making sure that security isn't seen as "The Team Who Says No"

Kinga - cybersecurity professional with experience ranging from security engineering through security analysis to user education and training. She has a keen interest in digital forensics and sometimes blogs about it at https://kieczkowska.com

Gordon - Threat Intelligence Analyst at a Scottish cybersecurity company. He's interested in privacy and digital rights issues. After hours he runs the local DEFCON chapter, Defcon Edinburgh (@DC44131)
