Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival Social + Sunset Beach Walk

Giant pumpkins, three music stages, 250 artist booths, and a sunset on the beach to finish. Come to the 54th Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival with company instead of alone.

The event is otherwise self-aided, let us know if you like to be there to greet the group. Just meet & greet each other at the staging cafe, and follow the event plan.

THE PLAN (Saturday, October 17)
1:15 PM: Meet at REBYL Coffee & Food, inside the Shoreline Station plaza (225 Cabrillo Hwy S, at Highway 1 and Kelly Ave). First to arrive: grab an outdoor table and post a photo of the spot in the WhatsApp group so others can find you.
1:45 PM sharp: Everyone there walks in together, east on Kelly Ave, about 10 minutes to Main Street. The group does not wait, so be on time.
2:00 to 5:00 PM: Split into squads of 5 to 8 and roam by taste.
5:15 PM: Meet again at the same spot (optional). Swap stories.
5:30 PM: Walk west on Kelly Ave to Francis Beach, about 3/4 mile. Sunset is at 6:29 PM.

Around 7:00 PM: Dinner for whoever stays. Pick a place on the spot.
Recommended, all a short walk from the meeting spot:
- Cobani: Mediterranean, 99 San Mateo Rd, open until 10 PM
- Evangeline Cuisine: seafood and paella, inside Shoreline Station, open until 8 PM
- Fattoria e Mare: Italian, 315 Main St, open until 9 PM
Come for any part and head home whenever you like.

IN YOUR SQUAD
Claim a role out loud: one person keeps time, one keeps the map, one takes photos. Bring back one find for the 5:15 PM swap: a photo, a booth or a bite.

ON AFTER 2 PM
- Pie eating contest (age 12 and over): 2:15 PM, Bank of America lot, 620 Main St
- Three On The Tree: 3 to 5 PM, Mac Dutra Park
- Field Trip: 3 to 5 PM, Fernandez Park
- Sounds of Skynard: 3:30 to 5 PM, I.D.E.S. Grounds, 735 Main St
- Farmer Mike carving a giant pumpkin: 766 Main St
- Photo with the champion pumpkin: Main St at Miramontes St
- Food court and Pumpkin Harvest Ale: I.D.E.S. Grounds

GETTING THERE
Traffic is the hard part. Organizers warn that Highway 92 backs up from as early as 8 AM, so leave much earlier than the map says. From the South Bay you can also take Highway 84 west to Highway 1, then north.
The parking lots on Kelly Ave just east of Highway 1 are closest to the meeting spot. Most lots charge a small fee. The festival's rideshare drop-off is the Shoreline Station lot itself.
Have a seat to offer or need one? Post it in the group.

GOOD TO KNOW
- Festival admission is free. Bring money for food, drinks and parking.
- No pets. The city enforces this.
- Bring a layer for the beach.
- Running late? The group leaves at 1:45 PM. Ask in the WhatsApp group where people are, or join at 5:15 PM.
- Your parking, route and timing are yours to plan.
