San Jose Celebrates -- Rose, White & Blue Independence Day Parade

This is an info post, cause we would be mainly in SF for the Fillmore Jazz Festival.
For those that will stay in town during the July 4th weekend, time to see some local action.
San Jose is going to have its Rose, White & Blue Parade on July 4th, from 10am - 12pm. Plz check out the detailed info at:

San Jose parade is said to be attended by around 50k per year. The present day format started since 2008. A stroll along the parade path is nice, you will see some interesting local orgs, and San Jose specific local culture.
It has a decent parade volunteer program though. Its registration is a bit unusual through a $0 purchase form, but the program is solid. It has volunteer T-shirts, headquartered in a church, with volunteer sandwich, refreshment snacks etc.. You can sign up to see how a local parade is staged. You can also make friends chatting with the other volunteers.
