You do NOT have to bring someone to camp with - many attend by themselves and just enjoy the park.

Relax by the lake, tour an old Texas farm, or explore our rugged limestone hills and rare prairie pockets.
Though we’re just a short drive from the DFW Metroplex, it feels like you’re a world away from the city.
As always, no drama and no kids. Well-behaved pets are welcome, except in areas where food is being prepared, served or eaten. Campground pet rules must be followed.

Book your site in Dogwood Loop. Big Pine is full. There is another loop but it is way far away from Dogwood. If you’ll book there, be prepared to drive to host site events in Big Pine.

Daingerfield is a small but really beautiful State Park about 2-3 hours east of Dallas, on the western edge of the piney woods of east Texas. It has a beautiful 80 acre spring fed lake with a swim beach. Rent a paddle boat, paddle board, canoe, john boat or kayak to explore. There is a fishing pier and bait is sold in the park. Fish for crappie, bass, catfish, perch or chain pickerel. Hike two loops, one goes all the way around the lake.

4th Annual End of Summer Picnic - Sept 27 - Cleburne State Park

Mark your calendar so you can join us for the 4th annual "End of Summer" Picnic at Cleburne State Park. We'll be kayaking, fishing, swimming, eating burgers and just having a fun afternoon.

Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided - we'll ask that those attending to bring a side dish to share.
