The Women’s Club is a great organization. We meet from September through June from 6-9pm, with July and August off.
The date says only September from 6-9, but it goes until June.
The reason for the club beyond fun, is to raise money for women who want to go back to school and can’t afford it.
The membership cost is $200 for the ten months but includes a full buffet with salad, appetizers, and dessert, catered by Scarpinato’s Restaurant at every meeting, except December and June, which are the Christmas and installation of new board member dinners and paid for separately.
We raise money by doing two designer bag bingos in the Fall and Spring, selling things like Stock’s pound cakes, and having fundraising nights at nearby restaurants.
We have a speaker every month like someone from the town, or sometimes things like game night, or White Elephant, in January and a 50/50 and prize giveaways.
The membership is paid half at September’s meeting and half at October’s meeting.
We do nice bus trips like casinos, Lancaster, Peddler’s Village, andd more.
