General Guidelines & Reminders
Rider Groups & Pace
We will divide into groups before rolling out based on speed, experience, and distance goals:

  • A Group: 17+ mph
  • B Group: 15–16 mph
  • C Group: 12–14 mph

Important Notes

  • Know the Route: Please review the map prior to the ride. Safety is key, especially for A Riders, who should be prepared to navigate independently (the A group is a drop group). We aim to provide sweepers for B and C groups.
  • C Group Inquiries: If you are a C rider or unsure which group fits you best, feel free to reach out at [tucsonriders4cure@gmail.com](mailto:tucsonriders4cure@gmail.com).
  • The Loop Etiquette: Be courteous to pedestrians and other cyclists. Slow down when approaching others and pass safely with ample room.
  • RSVP: Please RSVP on our Meetup Page so we know to expect you and can post any weather or route updates.

What to Bring

  • Plenty of water & nutrition/snacks
  • Flat repair kit & spare tubes
  • Fully charged cell phone
  • Emergency contact information for someone in the group

Plan Changes & Sweeps Needed

  • Changing Your Route? If you plan to turn back early or alter your route, please inform a group leader before leaving so we know you are safe.
  • We Need Sweeps! Our B and C groups rely on sweep riders to ensure no one gets left behind due to mechanicals or pace adjustments. If you know the route and are willing to support your fellow riders, please consider volunteering as a sweep!
