Smile - Connect - Dance
Historic, fun, easy, traditional community social dancing for beginners, singles, couples, families, groups, and all ages.
The Dances -- all dances are taught and prompted -- hoedowns, reels, and frolics that are quick to learn, fun and easy, designed to include everyone -- circles, squares, longways, and more -- a mix of American Contra, English Country, Australian Bush, Ceilidhs, Folk, and more -- no fancy footwork; just easy, zesty walking steps. If you can walk and know the difference between your left and right, you already have the basic knowledge you'll need.
The Music -- hauntingly beautiful to joyful, uplifting, lively, toe-tapping, old-time fiddle tunes -- traditional reels, jigs, waltzes, polkas, schottisches.
No previous dance experience is necessary. No partner is necessary because we all dance together. Everyone is encouraged to change partners to meet new people and make new friends.
