On Trails: An Exploration – Robert Moor

Overview: A book about trails the creation and history of trails. The Chicago Review of Books (https://chireviewofbooks.com/2016/08/19/on-trails-ignores-the-trends-of-popular-nature-writing-thank-god/) calls it “a beautiful trek through the human and natural landscapes of modern life.” Apparently, it’s more of a reflection than a travelogue.
Meeting Details: We’ll start with some brief introductions of ourselves. Then, I hope to have sent out a couple of starter questions to lead off discussion. A preliminary one here: what trail did you think of most when you were reading this?
Understandings: Be nice to others, even if it turns out this book is awful!
