Description
Ashridge Estate sees large areas of bluebells flowering each year which attracts large numbers of visitors. With the flowering window being short over April and May, this creates great pressure on the woodland and its flora during this period.

## Highlights

  • Epic Ridgeway Views: Start along the Chiltern escarpment with breathtaking scenery, rivaling the South Downs.
  • Ivinghoe Beacon Panorama: On a clear day, it feels like you can see half of England!
  • Ancient Beechwoods: Wander through the Ashridge Estate, a National Trust treasure with stunning autumn colors.
  • Bluebell Spectacle: Late April to early May brings carpets of bluebells in Dockey Wood, Flat Isley, and Old Copse—some of the best in the South East.
  • Bridgewater Monument: A striking column erected in 1832 to honor the Duke of Bridgewater, a pioneer of canal building.
  • Historic Berkhamsted: Finish in this charming market town with its ruined Norman castle ruins.
