TERRAIN: tracks, road walking, some climbing up to Picket Hill.
GRADE 2: Nothing difficult
DURATION : Should complete walk within 2.5 hours. Break at top of Picket Hill to take in the views.
FACILITIES : Toilets at Recreation Ground
TAS PARKS PASS : No

**Bring a change of shoes - this route is along horse trails, long grass and can be dewy.

Description of Walk:
From our meeting point we walk along Leslie Rd, then McKenzies Rd to pick up the Leslie Vale Track, completing a circuit via Bullock Drive. We retrace our steps back along McKenzies Rd picking up the other side of Leslie Vale Track to Picket Hill Track. Great views of River Derwent from Picket Hill (height 360m) - on a clear day you can see Bruny Island.

Then we walk along Parkdale Drive into Leslie Road and back to our starting point. Visit to Bush Bakery for those that are interested post walk. I reckon our mum hikers deserve an early Mother's Day treat :)

We are walking along trails used by horse riders, dog walkers and hikers passing through picturesque farming land.
