About us
Welcome to Trail Therapy!
We organise a range of fun, adventurous, and beautiful hikes around London and the UK with the aim of getting people out of the city and into nature! Regardless if you are new to hiking or a seasoned walker, we have a trip for you.
We are building an inclusive community of like-minded people, who love the outdoors, staying active, and being in great company. Our members are mostly in their 20s, 30s and 40s, living and working in London, and are international and friendly. Many people join us solo and leave with new friends.

Join Trail Therapy for a scenic 21km countryside hike through the heart of Sussex, combining peaceful reservoir paths, woodland trails, rolling hills, and the iconic Ouse Valley Viaduct.
Starting near Ardingly Reservoir, this route takes us through some of the area’s most beautiful landscapes, with a mix of forests, open countryside, panoramic viewpoints, and picturesque trails along the way. The highlight of the day is the breathtaking Ouse Valley Viaduct, one of the South East’s most impressive landmarks.
This is a relaxed and social group hike designed for people who enjoy a proper day outdoors, good conversations, and escaping the city for a while. Whether you come solo or with friends, expect a welcoming group atmosphere and plenty of great scenery throughout the day.

Sunday Social Hike: 11km Epping Forest Circular Trail

We organise free and paid hikes around London and the South East, with the aim of helping people get out of the city and into nature. We are building an inclusive community of like-minded people and everyone is welcome to join!
Our community hikes are a great way to get to know us, make new friends, and spend some time in nature. We regularly go to Epping Forest as it's easy to reach by tube and it's truly magical.

This 11 km circular hike takes us deep into the heart of Epping Forest, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and home to ancient woodlands, rich history, and thriving wildlife. We’ll follow peaceful trails through towering trees, along leafy paths, exploring some of the forest’s most fascinating landmarks. We'll pass:- Amesbury Banks – an 11-acre Roman site with a visible high bank and ditch marking its outline
- Beautiful woodland paths, seasonal wildflowers, and a chance to enjoy the forest
- Occasionally we see wild deer, squirrels, kites, a variety of mushrooms, and other nature sights, but these are not guaranteed, the forest will decide!

Castles, Romans & Viaducts: The Ultimate Kent Countryside Hike - 22km

Less than an hour from London, this route takes us through some of Kent’s most fascinating countryside and historical landmarks.
We’ll begin in the picturesque village of Eynsford, home to the ruins of Eynsford Castle, one of the earliest Norman stone castles in England. From there, we’ll follow riverside trails and woodland paths toward the beautiful Lullingstone castle.Along the way, we’ll explore:
- The ruins of Eynsford Castle
- The remains of a Roman villa dating back nearly 2,000 years
- Lullingstone Castle (entrance fee not included)
- The dramatic Lullingstone Viaduct viewpoint
- Woodland trails, rolling hills, and quiet countryside paths
- Riverside scenery and open valley views
Expect a mixture of hidden trails, scenic viewpoints, ancient history, and classic Kent countryside.
We’ll stop partway for refreshments and a well-earned break before continuing the circular route back toward Eynsford, with an optional pub stop before heading back to London.Hike Details

Summer Social Hike: 12 KM Richmond Park & Putney Heath
Richmond, TW9 1AW, London, GBGet exploring with us summer as we discover the wild parks of Richmond and Putney with our 12KM community walk! Our free community hikes are a great way to get to know us as a group, make new friends, spend some time in nature and discover new parts of London.

We begin near the River Thames to soak up the calmer side of Richmond before entering the vast expanse of Richmond Park — London’s largest Royal Park at over 1,000 hectares. Here we’ll wander through ancient woodland and open grassland, keeping an eye out for:- Free-roaming deer (we might glimpse them but it depends where they are on the day - no guarantees)
- Wildflowers and ancient trees
- A wide variety of birdlife
- wild nature in central London
Leaving the park, the route continues across Putney Commons, a 460-hectare stretch of woodland, heath, scrub, and ponds. This protected landscape feels surprisingly wild and is home to rich flora, birdlife, and seasonal colour. From the commons, we'll walk through quieter residential streets, and near the world famous Wimbledon courts before finishing at Wimbledon Park Station.
