🌿 What We’ll See Along the Way:
We begin near the River Thames to soak up the calmer side of Richmond before entering the vast expanse of Richmond Park — London’s largest Royal Park at over 1,000 hectares. Here we’ll wander through ancient woodland and open grassland, keeping an eye out for:

  • Free-roaming deer (we might glimpse them but it depends where they are on the day - no guarantees)
  • Wildflowers and ancient trees
  • A wide variety of birdlife
  • wild nature in central London

Leaving the park, the route continues across Putney Commons, a 460-hectare stretch of woodland, heath, scrub, and ponds. This protected landscape feels surprisingly wild and is home to rich flora, birdlife, and seasonal colour. From the commons, we'll walk through quieter residential streets, and near the world famous Wimbledon courts before finishing at Wimbledon Park Station.
