What We'll See Along the Way
Less than an hour from London, this route takes us through some of Kent’s most fascinating countryside and historical landmarks.
We’ll begin in the picturesque village of Eynsford, home to the ruins of Eynsford Castle, one of the earliest Norman stone castles in England. From there, we’ll follow riverside trails and woodland paths toward the beautiful Lullingstone castle.

Along the way, we’ll explore:

  • The ruins of Eynsford Castle
  • The remains of a Roman villa dating back nearly 2,000 years
  • Lullingstone Castle (entrance fee not included)
  • The dramatic Lullingstone Viaduct viewpoint
  • Woodland trails, rolling hills, and quiet countryside paths
  • Riverside scenery and open valley views

Expect a mixture of hidden trails, scenic viewpoints, ancient history, and classic Kent countryside.
We’ll stop partway for refreshments and a well-earned break before continuing the circular route back toward Eynsford, with an optional pub stop before heading back to London.
