๐ Mushroom Hunt: 11Km Along Epping Forest's Ancient Woodland Trails ๐
Details
๐ Get out of the house and into the forest for an autumn hike with a twist! Join Trail Therapy for a mushroom hunt through the beautiful ancient woodland of Epping Forest.
Welcome to Trail Therapy!
We organise hikes around London and the South East, with the aim of helping people get out of the city and into nature. We're building an inclusive community of like-minded people, and everyone is welcome to join!
Our hikes are a great way to get to know us, make new friends, and spend some time outdoors. Whether you're a regular hiker or just looking for an excuse to get outside on a Saturday, come along and join us!
## ๐ What We'll See Along the Way ๐
November is a wonderful time to explore Epping Forest, with autumn colours, fallen leaves and the chance to spot some fascinating fungi along the woodland trails.
We'll follow peaceful forest paths, keeping our eyes peeled for mushrooms and other signs of autumn wildlife. We'll take our time to explore, enjoy the fresh air and appreciate the little things that make this ancient woodland so special.
๐ A few things to look out for:
- Different varieties of wild mushrooms and fungi
- Beautiful autumn woodland and leafy trails
- Ancient trees, local wildlife and hidden forest corners
- The occasional deer, squirrel or bird of prey โ the forest will decide if we see them or not!
Fungi sightings depend on the weather and conditions, so there's no guarantee of what we'll find. This is an opportunity to observe and appreciate wild fungi rather than touch, pick or eat them. The main picture is a glimpse of what we found last year.
