PIHA BEACH AND BUSH + KITEKITE WATERFALLS VISIT

Looking for outdoor activities in the Waitakere Ranges ?

Join us for some fun 50 plus recreational connections together and gentle exercise....as we explore Piha Beach and visit Kitekite Falls.

We will explore South Piha first. Check out the The Gap and The Blow Hole, then walk tracks to Kitekite Falls.

WHEN- SATURDAY 30TH AUGUST 2025.

MEET AND GREET IS 11AM

WHERE MEETING- PIHA DOMAIN CARPARK ON SEAVIEW ROAD IN FRONT OF LION ROCK. USE THE MAP LINK HERE.

Walking Time is about 4 hours plus extra for lunch and photography opportunities along the way.

Walk Difficulty- Easy to Moderate. Some short steep 10 minutes of Steps to reach Kitekite Falls in the afternoon.

Wear strong walking shoes and perhaps use or carry a hiking stick/pole. Carry everything in a small backpack you need to keep yourself warm and happy, fed and hydrated..

No Dogs or Smokers or Vaping or Children.

Transportation. Carpooling.

Option One .We will gather beforehand outside the now closed Victoria Park New World on Scotland Street. Drivers interested in carrying other passengers please come here at 9am.

Passengers- Please bring $20 Cash.

It's then about an hour 30 to easily reach Piha .

OPTION TWO - Add a Note below with the Area you live and your mobile number and contact each other. Give your Driver $20 Cash.

Option 3 - Travel To Piha Beach directly yourself..Remember to use the Map Link here to find our Carpark in the Piha Domain Seaview Road . It's a blind spot on the left. Opposite the Houses.. Signs for Piha Bowling Club..However my intention is to be on Seaview Rd by 10.45 am , so look out for me.

Afterwards we can grab hot food and drinks at the Piha Shop , which is on the right as you pass by the Campground.

Toilets are also here opposite the Shop , alongside the Campground on Seaview Rd.
