Hybrid blended version where students independently complete online learning before class and then spend the entire class doing in-person skills.
What if you were on a hike, or even at the grocery store or mall, and suddenly the person walking towards you passes out, crashing to the ground. You check, no pulse. CPR. Would you go right into action? Would you be frozen, a deer in the headlights, wishing you could help? Don't put it off, learn CPR now.
In addition to learning CPR itself, we’ll also learn the different roles to be filled and the tasks you might not think about that are needed. How do you engage bystanders to assist you? How will you move the person if in a tight space or to where EMTs can take over? We’ll learn about other equipment needed and where it might be located, overall situational awareness, and scene safety. It all comes together so we can be as efficient as possible and ensure the patient is receiving the best possible care. The more people out there who can jump in to help in such dire circumstances the better. Get certified and stay current. Don’t put it off any longer!
Upon completion students will receive a 2-year Health & Safety Institute (HSI) CPR & AED for Adult, Child & Infant certification, which follows all American Heart Association (AHA) standards and treatment recommendations.
Minimum Age: 12 years old - the minor(s) and a parent/guardian must all be paid registered participants.
