West Kill Mountain is one of the 33 Catskill 3500 peaks that one must climb to become a Catskill 3500 Club member.
This hike, which includes epic views from the Buck Ridge Lookouts that rival any other views in the Catskills, is considered to be a challenging hike. It's about 6.5 miles on trail (no bushwhacking) with 2,000' of elevation change that we'll hike at a moderate pace in 6 to 7 hours. On our way to summiting this 3,891' mountain, we'll pass the Diamond Notch Falls and cross the bridge going over the West Kill (Creek) nearby. It is one of our favorite peaks with constant forest beauty and amazing views up top.
The parking and hike details are emailed after registration.
