It’s vital to have the tools, the right skills, and the know-how to improvise when faced with a medical emergency in the backcountry. Learn practical WFA skills and gain the confidence to step up, make decisions, and create positive outcomes from unpredictable situations. Hands-on exercises improve retention and confidence. Developed for the public by Search & Rescue professionals, learn the most current practices for patient assessments, splinting, environmental emergencies like snakebites, medical emergencies like strokes, illnesses, and more.
Upon completion, students receive a 2-year ASHI WFA certification, accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and accepted by Scouts BSA and GSUSA.
Minimum Age: 12 years old - the minor(s) and a parent/guardian must all be paid registered participants.
