Our events typically fill up at 24 people for guided hikes! You won't see the attendees here on meetup as registrations are on our site but we wanted to let you know that we typically see large outings for all of our events!
A TBP Women's Chapter women-only guided hike led by experienced and capable female TrailBound Project instructors and guides. It's an opportunity for women to connect with other women who share a love for the outdoors and want to forge friendships for future adventures and be a part of the women's outdoor community. It also allows a safe environment to focus on female-centric topics that matter to them.
This hike has a nominal, non-refundable $20 registration fee to secure your spot.
Our adventure to Ghost Lake and the Fairy Cave in Jenny Jump State Forest covers approximately 7.0 miles round trip with 1,230 feet of elevation gain and loss. We’ll take this moderate-to-challenging hike at a leisurely pace with plenty of breaks, creating a comfortable experience for women who are ready for a bit more challenge while still enjoying a relaxed group environment.
Jenny Jump State Forest is one of New Jersey’s most underrated wild spaces, and this hike highlights two of its most enchanting hidden gems. We’ll begin by winding through peaceful hardwood forest, following scenic trails deeper into the woods as we make our way toward Ghost Lake - a small, quiet pond tucked deep in the woods, known for its still waters and mysterious atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that feels peaceful, secluded, and a little bit magical.
Just past the lake lies the Fairy Cave, a secluded rocky formation that feels like a secret find in the woods. It’s an inviting spot for photos, exploration, and a spark of wonder for anyone who loves uncovering hidden gems on the trail.
TrailBound Women’s Only hikes are about more than reaching a destination or crushing miles — they’re about building outdoor confidence, sharing trail knowledge, and creating a supportive, welcoming space for women to connect.
