Hiking - Rachel Carson (Experienced) - 21 Miles

After a relaxing weekend at camp and enjoying a laid back hike at Quebec Run, it's time to get back to business. Now that our conditioning hikes have covered all 37 miles of the trail we'll be hiking on challenge day, this hike will begin at Harrison Hills once again. We'll meet in the morning at Log Cabin Road and carpool to Harrison Hills in as few vehicles as possible. We'll pass through checkpoints 1 and 2 at Bull Creek and Agan Park, until we reach the end of our hike at the third checkpoint by Log Cabin Road.
As is the norm with most Rachel hikes, it’s difficult to predict what the trail conditions will be like, so plan on getting wet and muddy unless we’re fortunate enough to receive a solid week of dry weather. Be sure to pack enough snacks and water to keep you going throughout our hike and consider bringing a spare change of clothes in case you get more Rachel on you than you’d like during our adventure. I plan on stopping by Olive Garden afterwards for a nice cold, crisp salad and shrimp scampi.
