April 29th *Sloan's Lake* Walk and Talk-o *Start at Edgewater Market*

Details

Join me for a walk around one of Denver’s best parks, Sloan's Lake.

April 29th Led by Kristen

We’ll meet at Edgewater Market In Front of the Ramen Shop OUTSIDE (it’s always 6:30pm even if meetup says different) and walk over to the park. We will meet in front of 5505 W 20th Ave, Edgewater, CO 80214. ****There is a running club that starts at the brewery. We are not them.***

We’ll first walk around the park one time and then return to Edgewater Market.

Total round trip is about 3 miles.

Walkers who want to have Tacos can go to Edgewater Market for delicious tacos. There are multiple restaurants and at least one that offers tacos- Carnivore. We will get our food and then find some tables to pull together. If it's nice, we'll sit outside on the patio.

The feedback from the group has been to walk or at least get talk-o's if the weather is bad. #coloradostyle
Some important things to note:

  1. Remember the golden rule folks. Treating others with kindness, respect, honesty, patience, and curiosity is important.
  2. We share the golden rule with folks not in our group by sharing the trail in the park. Please walk in two’s so that our non- walk- talk-o people have plenty of space on the trail too. If somehow someone forgets and starts walking in 3 or 4 across, say we’ll remind each other kindly. Say "Taco” and squeeze in so that the person can get by us easily.
  3. Please pay attention to oncoming pedestrians and pedestrians behind us. Please squeeze in to the right when you see them, leaving them plenty of room to pass. We want everyone to enjoy the trail (including folks not in our group) - and not have to dodge our group. Let’s remind each other to “taco" not "tostada."
  4. We love fur-babies. Before bringing them consider whether your dog is great on leash, behaves well in a crowd, can keep up with our pace, and will distract or add to our group members’ experience.
  5. You must RSVP This is for safety. If for some reason you can’t RSVP, the group leader will take your picture and of your ID and send it to the other group leaders. It’s up to the group leader if you can participate.

I also organize another community SUPPER CLUB. We have a couple different events during the month. To learn more visit: SUPPER Club: Foodies for Personal and Professional Growth | Facebook
