Havasupai Falls Backpack (I have a few permits remaining read the Description)

This is a week long trip and we will visit many national parks besides backpacking to Havasupai Falls. The permits have gone up substantially over the years and are now $455 each. This is the only form of income for the Supai Community. I will place you on the waitlist until I receive the $455. Contact me for Venmo or PayPal info. I have done this backpack twice and its worth every penny.
Backpack will be a 10 miles each way with 2500' Elev. change. We will leave Saturday Morning and drive part of the way and camp. More information to follow, (car camping). We will then drive to Williams AZ and stay in a hotel Sunday night. We will be sight seeing some great spots I know with some hiking on Saturday and Sunday. We will get up early and drive 2 hours to the Hilltop trailhead and backpack in. We will be camping at Havasu Campground 2 nights. First day when we get down there we can explore the nearby falls and swim. The next day hike to Beaver falls. Some may want to continue down to the confluence of the Havasu Creek and the Colorado River. Next day backpack out. There is also permits for everyone to hike Angels Landing in Zion National Park.
HAVASUPAI FALLS TRIP ITINERARY
Saturday August 23rd
Meet at Wooly Mammoth Park and Ride Lot AA at 7:00am. Drive west on I-70 and stop for lunch in Grand Junction. Drive to Colorado National Monument or Arches National Park. Then Drive to Devils Canyon Campground, Utah just off of US highway 191. Campsites 13 and 15 are reserved. Set Up camp, Car Camping.
Sunday August 24th
Breakfast in Café in Bluff Utah. Drive to Canyon De Chelly National Monument in Arizona. Take in some of the sites then hike down the White House Ruin Trail 3 miles RT with 600’ elevation gain coming out. Once out head south to I-40. The depending on time go to Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Park. Brief stop at the visitor’s center then a Short hike in Petrified Nation forest on The Crystal Trail .8-mile loop with 36’ elevation gain. We will then drive to Winslow Arizona and eat late lunch at a restaurant near 2nd and Kensley Ave. Famous Eagles Band street corner, (Photo OP). Then off to the Hotel in Williams Arizona. We will be staying at La Quinta Inn. Diner in Williams AZ. You are responsible for your own reservation. Depending on the time we may need to cut a few things out. It would be best to pick up permits for Havasupai falls this afternoon.
Monday August 25th
Meet for breakfast at 6:00am in hotel. 6:30am Drive to Grand Canyon Caverns Inn Seligman, Arizona to check in if permits were not already picked up. Then Drive to Hill Top/Havasu Trailhead (2-hour drive). Backpack in to Village of Supai to check in at rangers’ office. Then finish backpack to Havasu Falls Campground. Total distance 10 miles. Set up camp then explore the waterfalls.
Tuesday August 26th
Hike to Beaver Falls. 8 miles RT. I plan to go to the confluence of Havasu Creek and the Colorado River. That adds an additional 8 miles for a total of 16 miles. Anyone up to it is welcome to join me.
Wednesday August 27th
Up early have breakfast then backpack out. Let’s try and be ready to head out by 7:00am if not earlier. It will take some of us at least 5 hours to get back to the parking lot. Drive to Las Vegas and stay in Treasure Island resort on the strip. You are responsible for your own reservation.
Thursday August 28th
Have breakfast somewhere early (preferable the hotel) then drive to Zion National Park. We can stop at a store for supplies on the way. I will have permits for all that would like to do Angels Landing. It is 4.3 miles and 1,827 feet elevation gain. Challenging hike but well worth it. Ranked #2 best hike in the US by Alltrails. We will be camping in Zion National Park this evening. I have reserved campsites C026 and C028 There are several restaurants just outside the park entrance for dinner. Or we can cook dinner at the campsite.
Friday August 29th
Up early and drive to Bryce Canyon National Park, 2-hour drive. We will have breakfast in Mt. Carmel Utah on the way. Also pick up something for lunch. Plan is to hike Navajo, Wall Street, Queens Garden loops. 7 miles with 1,500’ elevation gain. This hike is ranked #1 in the US by Alltrails. We will be staying at Ruby’s Inn Campground, 300 S Main St, Bryce Canyon City, UT 84764. I have reserved group campsite #11. They have a pool, showers and flushing toilets. Restaurants are nearby or you can cook dinner at the campsite.
Saturday August 30th
Up early and drive through Capital Reef National Park. There are a few sites that we can stop at like Petroglyph Panel, Cassidy Arch, Panorama Point, Chimney rock and Hickman Natural Bridge. We may need to take a vote on the top 3 to see. Drive to Goblin State Park. We will do a short hike here. Then drive back to Denver.

WHAT TO BRING: Appropriate gear (backpack, tent, sleeping bag and pad, food, backpacking stove, first aid kit, rain jacket/poncho, jacket, water, snacks, sun screen, etc). I will provide a gear checklist. Some items can be shared.
DISTANCE/GAIN: 20 miles RT with 2,500 ft. elevation gain. (Difficult-Strenuous).
