NOTE TEMPS SHOULD BE HIGH 50s BRING LAYERS.
*** Park Entry Fee required if you do not have annual pass***

Let's take advantage of the warmer Dec weather and get out for a paddle at Bear Creek Lake Park, since Chatfield, Aurora Reservoir & Cherry Creek State Parks are closed for winter paddling.

Must have your own board, no rentals available. Must be comfortable on the water in potentially colder & windy conditions. Expectation is that everyone has extensive experience paddling and can be self sufficient on the water. Please check weather closer to event, may move the time or the day dependent on wind speeds or temps.

Nov - Feb Hours 8am - 6pm

Park entrance fee: $10 unless you have the annual pass.

Dress in omniheat layers, with Xmas Sweater and πŸŽ…hat on top for lots of pics πŸ“Έ

WHAT TO BRING: Water/weather should be chilly at the start but warm up later. We'd recommend tights/long sleeve, maybe windbreaker, and something lighter to strip down to as well as dry change of clothes just in case. Also bring dry bag, extra socks, sunscreen, sunglasses, electrolytes, and a picnic for on the water.
We like to bring light hat/gloves this time of year. LIFE JACKET & WHISTLE MANDATORY.

I have never been to Bear Creek Lake, only Soda Lake and am excited to explore it and the coves together.

Come for 1 or 2 loops around the lake or more if you choose. We will be making our drive time worthwhile, which means longer event time πŸ™ƒ

Please RSVP "Going" if you can make it, so I know whom to expect. TIA

Let's aim to get on the water by 9:30am after setup.
