Chicago Lakes Trail

I haven't hiked the Chicago Lakes Trail for the past two years, so it's time.
This is a nice hike with path that winds past small waterfalls and offers sweeping views of Mount Warren and Mount Spalding. This variation of the trip on the popular Chicago Lakes Trail will takes you to Upper but we'll stick to the Lower Chicago Lakes unless the group decides otherwise, before heading back to the main trailhead at the Echo Lake parking area.
Highlights include beautiful views, wildlife encounters (like moose), and opportunities for swimming. Challenges are steep sections and rocky areas. Starting early and bringing plenty of water are recommended.
One downside is when we start we go downhill which means we need to climb up at the end.

Elevation gain: 2,178 ft
Duration: 6 hrs approx.
Rating: Moderate/Hard
No dogs please.

Car Pool: MEET @7:30 AM @Wooly Mammoth Section DD (across from the gas station)
We will hike at a medium brisk pace - so no very fast or slow hikers.
