Labor Day Hike Before Your BBQ ;) HEATHER LAKE (Moderate)

🌲 Labor Day Hike – Heather Lake Trail 🌲
Join us for a Monday morning hike (Sept 1st) to Heather Lake!

📍 Meetup Options:

• 7:00 AM – Granite Falls IGA (carpool / meet-up spot since there’s no reception at the trailhead). I do highly recommend we meet up at IGA.
• 7:30 AM – Heather Lake Trailhead parking lot.

Carpooling:
Please coordinate directly with each other for ride-sharing. If you can offer a ride or need one, add a comment and respond to each other. I won’t be able to provide any rides until Granite Falls IGA.

Confirmation Required:
I’ll post my phone number in the comments section. All attendees who are truly coming must text me at least 10 hours in advance to confirm. This way, we don’t end up waiting around for flaky RSVPs. Thank you! 🙏

Hike Details:

• Distance: ~4.6 miles roundtrip
• Elevation gain: ~1,100 ft
• Rated: Moderate
• Dog-friendly (leash required) 🐾
• Trail conditions: Rocky and rooty in sections—hiking poles and sturdy shoes with good traction are recommended.

🌊 If you’re planning to swim, bring a change of clothes.
🕛 Return time at the trailhead: around 11–11:30 PM, depending on how long we hang out at the lake.
Beautiful forest trail with boardwalks, streams, and a scenic alpine lake at the top—perfect way to spend Labor Day outdoors in the morning before you go to your BBQ or hosting a BBQ!
