The back pack is intended as an introductory trip to meet Trails Club of Oregon (TCO). We will camp at Nesika Lodge located on the rim of the Columbia River Gorge and union with our working folks. This is also an chance to join in the club easily.

There are goodies, drinks, kitchen, bathrooms and showers at the Lodge! We provide free meals and waive camping fee for those volunteers (workers)!

If you don’t want to work, you can pay for a dinner ($8) or a breakfast ($5) Overnight camping is $25 for no members and $15 for members

Saturday (July 23)
We will meet at Larch Mountain Snow gate 10+ miles E Larch Mountain Road.

3.5 miles almost down hill to Nesika Lodge and have Lunch there.
Soup at Lunch is free!

After Lunch, we will have a brief talk about the history of Nesika Lodge
A short tour around the very picturesque Nesika Lodge.

Afternoon Options:

  1. if you would like to be one of our volunteers for working, you can get a free meal: dinner or breakfast and
    free camping, possible sleeping in our new dorm if you would like.

  2. no working hike only. There is camping fee and we only provide the info for you to hike around.

Sunday (July 24)
3.5 mi and 800 ft up hill
After Breakfast, heading to the parking Lot.

It is recommended passengers contribute .12 cents/mile for fuel if you would like to carpool.

Please add yourself to the waitlist when it opens up. Maximum 8 people!

TCO Meetup leaders are volunteers. Keeping the group together on this activity and safety are our priorities.
