Larch Mtn training hike in the rain (14 miles, 4000 ft gain)

Greetings -

With up to an inch of rain forecast in the Gorge, it seems like a great time for a training hike up Larch Mtn! It will be humid, but the temps should be in the 40s (ish).
Non TCO Members are also welcome to join ($2).

Meetup Time: 800am sharp
Where: In front of bathrooms at Multnomah Falls Lodge
Distance: 14-ish miles
Ascent: 4000ft ascent (ish)
Parking pass/Permit: None if parked out by highway
Difficulty Level: Class C hike - difficult

I consider this a training hike in the rain. Bring your own lunch, snacks, rain gear, microspikes and a sense of humor.

Bring a headlamp.

At this moment, there are no landslides on the Larch Mtn trail. That could change at any time, and we will adjust accordingly.
We will be taking a short break every hour. The goal is to finish before last light.

As always, bring the 10 essentials, food and water, be prepared for rainy weather at any time and practice leave no trace.

Well behaved dogs are welcome. They must be ready/able to hike all day.
