Greetings -

Let's head up to the Ornament Trail and hang some ornaments!

Where: In front of bathrooms at Multnomah Falls Lodge
Distance: 8-ish miles
Ascent: 1700ft ascent (ish)

We will start from Multnomah Falls and head up the Larch Mtn trail to the High Water trail. We will go up to the Multnomah Basin, hike the basin road to the Ornament Trail and hang ornaments.
From there, we will head to Nesika Lodge and have a brief, early lunch (bring your own lunch).
Our return path will use the recently cleared Cougar Rock trail. We may stop at Cougar Rock and examine some of the recent trail work around Cougar Rock.

Please bring water, snacks, rain gear (if rain is in the forecast), poles and an ornament!
There will be a shallow water crossing at Winter Creek. You will get a little wet.

As always, bring the 10 essentials, food and water, be prepared for rainy weather at any time and practice leave no trace.
Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Please feel free to use the Meetup chat for this trip to organize carpooling if you wish.
Trails Club of Oregon trip leaders are all volunteers and are not paid professionals or guides. Please remember you are responsible for your own health and safety during and on the way to and from this event. Please be informed and self-sufficient.
