Hike the Newly Opened North Bonneville Trails (old Dick Thomas TH) - 8 miles
Details
Greetings -
This hike is free to TCO members and free to non-members. Note that there is a cost to park within the spa grounds.
Bonneville Hot Springs will reopen the hiking trails on Saturday, Feb 1, so let's go and hike the trails!
For the past 6 weeks, a team has been clearing the trails behind Bonneville Hot Springs, so the trails are clear.
Expect rain.

Please note the trailhead is open courtesy of Bonneville Hot Springs Resort & Spa. The day cost to park within the spa parking lot is $10/car. We will figure out how to pay. There should be a QR code on the building door to pay, or one can pay inside. A USFS pass is not accepted at this TH.
We will start off from the old Dick Thomas TH and hike the Two Chiefs trail as an out-and-back. We will return on the PCT and make a loop on the bypass trail.
Please bring: lunch, water, hiking poles, rain gear, headlamp and dog treats for my dog Rocket. It will be chilly - bring a raincoat, gloves and microspikes. It will likely be slippery.
Estimated return time is a rough estimate only.
Please feel free to use the Meetup chat for this trip to organize carpooling.
