Nesika Open Memorial Weekend

The lodge will be open all weekend for family, friends and guests for both volunteering and recreation. Please meet promptly at milepost 10 on Larch Mountain Road at 9 am Saturday. High clearance AWD vehicles are needed to drive all the way in to the lodge. Carpools are available if needed, leave a message in the chat if required. We need volunteers to help with:

• meal preps
• history archiving
• tree watering and maintenance
• road clearing
• firewood processing (splitting, stacking, hauling)
• workbench/shelf construction
• general spring cleaning of the lodge
• diesel engine repair

This even will be pot-luck, unless a volunteer steps up to buy and cook meals. The lodge stocks basics, such as cookware, pasta, seasonings, flour, canned goods, drink mixes and such.

Unfortunately, the tractor and generator are out of order until further notice. This limits our ability to haul gear from the parking lot, as well as transport rounds for fire wood. Hot water is available, but not enough pressure for showers.

Please contact the host if visiting the lodge for the first time and need clarification on directions. Room and board provided for working volunteers. Bring a sleeping bag, cots and foam pads provided.
Pets welcome, but only service pets in the lodge or dorm.
